If you have too many tabs open in the browser, you can open the website you have already opened in the same window, this causes a duplicate tab. To avoid this, the Firefox browser offers a ‘switch to tab’ button in the URL bar dropdown. Google Chrome now has this feature available for testing behind a flag.
Enable ‘Switch to this tab’ button in Google Chrome Omnibox
1. Make sure you are using the latest Google Chrome canary or dev,
Visit chrome://flags/#omnibox-tab-switch-suggestions and select Enabled, restart the browser
Note: The flag doesn’t work if you’ve enabled upcoming UI features flag or if #top-chrome-md is set to Update or Update Touchable.
The flag ‘allows suggestions to switch to open tabs in the Omnibox’.
This is an experimental feature, there is no guarantee that this will make the version stable.
