Google just released Priority Inbox for Gmail in Beta, which sorts and shows important messages in your inbox based on the emails you read and respond to. This is one way to overcome email overload in Gmail. Priority Inbox will roll out to all Gmail users next week.
How Priority Inbox works in Gmail
- automatic classification :Gmail uses several signals to identify important emails, including messages you open and messages you reply to.
- Sections keep you organized: Incoming emails are separated into important and unread sections, starred and all. You can always customize these sections
- Forecasts improve overtime: Overtime, priority inbox gets better at predicting what’s important to you. You can help training using the + , – buttons.
There are a lot of emails you have subscribed to but you will read them later, those types of emails are not important and Gmail will automatically filter these messages and you will find them in the Everything else section. [Via]
