How to access your Twitter and Facebook updates on Google+

Finally Google has a successful social network, Google+ (isn’t it?) still a long way to go as it’s still in Beta. Google Plus can give Twitter and Facebook tough competition if you’re addicted to Google+ and don’t want to leave it, at the same time want to access Twitter and Facebook on Google+ here’s how.

CrossRider created two extensions for Google+, “Google+Facebook” and “Google+Tweet”, which allows G+ users to view and access – Facebook updates, Google Plus Tweets, even you can post updates on twitter and facebook from Google+.

Accessing Facebook from within Google+

1. Download and install Google+Facebook from any Firefox/Chrome or Internet Explorer browser.

2. Now login to Google+ and the Facebook button appears at the top of the page in the navigation bar behind the Home button.

3. Click on it and proceed to Connect to your Facebook account by clicking the “F connect with Facebook” button and “allow” the app to connect to your FB account to see your Facebook stream inside Google+.

Now you can see all your Facebook updates and this extension also allows you to share your status updates/post on Google wall plus yourself.

Observation: You are providing Google+Facebook app to access Facebook data such as Basic Info, Post to Wall, Access posts in your News Feed and access your data anytime on Facebook. So be careful and you can always remove this app access by logging into your Facebook account.

Accessing Twitter within Google+

Google+Tweet is a twitter client for Google+ that allows you to view your timeline, shorten URL, share photos and videos and also translate tweets within your Google Plus account.

1. Download and install Google+ tweet for your desired browser to choose from – IE, Firefox and Google Chrome browsers.

2. Log in to Google+ and click on the “Twitter” icon shown at the top of the page behind the Facebook button (appears if you have installed and activated the Google+ Facebook app), click on it.

3 . Log into your Twitter account and authorize this app to connect to your account via “oauth”.

4. After successful integration, view your timeline on Google+.

Observation: you are giving this app permission to write data to your account on your behalf, so be careful again (this app cannot see your twitter account password) and you may revoke access to this app at any time of Application guide of your settings.
