How to disable Internet Explorer End of Life Update Notification?

  6. Right-click FEATURE_DISABLE_IE11_SECURITY_EOL_NOTIFICATION, point to New, and click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  7. Type iexplore.exe and press Enter to name the new value.
  8. Right-click iexplore.exe and click Modify.
  9. In the Value data box, enter 1 and click OK.
  10. Exit Registry Editor and restart Internet Explorer to enable the new key.

x64 based systems

  1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and click OK.
  2. Locate the following registry subkey:

  3. Right-click the FeatureControl, point to New, and click Key.
  4. Log in FEATURE_DISABLE_IE11_SECURITY_EOL_NOTIFICATIONand press Enter to name the new key.
  5. Right-click FEATURE_DISABLE_IE11_SECURITY_EOL_NOTIFICATION, point to New, and click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  6. Type iexplore.exe and press Enter to name the new value.
  7. Right-click iexplore.exe and click Modify.
  8. In the Value data box, enter 00000001 and click OK.
  9. Locate the following subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl
  10. Right-click the FeatureControl, point to New, and click Key.
  11. Type FEATURE_DISABLE_IE11_SECURITY_EOL_NOTIFICATION and press Enter to name the new key.
  12. Right-click FEATURE_DISABLE_IE11_SECURITY_EOL_NOTIFICATION, point to New, and click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  13. Type iexplore.exe and press Enter to name the new value.
  14. Right-click iexplore.exe and click Modify.
  15. In the Value data box, enter 00000001 and click OK.
  16. Exit Registry Editor and restart your browser to enable the new key.
