Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.2.0 Beta Adds Full Windows 10 Support Now Available

The current (stable) version of Malwarebytes is 2.1.8, the first beta version of the upcoming version 2.2.0 is now publicly available for testing. MBAM 2.2.0 it is a patch release with complete Windows 10 support comes with improvements and bug fixes.

  • Added full support for Windows 10 OS
  • Improved protection to prevent false positives on legitimate files
  • Improved rootkit scanning to prevent false positives for Unknown.Rootkit.Driver and Unknown.Rootkit.VBR
  • Minor UI edits including updated Scan Results display and updated top navigation menu
  • Added ability to sort columns in Quarantine table in History tab
  • Improved handling of scheduled updates set to run on reboot to avoid repeated missed updates
  • Improved messages on limited user accounts when an action that requires admin privileges is attempted
  • New message added when Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is running in a business environment
  • Updated license agreement included

Fixed issues:

  • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Security Vulnerability and Enhanced Self-Protection Fix

  • Fixed several issues related to updating databases in a limited user account

  • Fixed issue where USB drives were not showing as available for scanning on the Custom Scan Setup screen

  • Fixed several licensing issues that could cause invalid licenses and protection states

  • Fixed issue where double clicking tray icon would not launch UI
