Opera Software has released opera 79 stable and downloadable with pinboards and download improvements, and system theme matching support for Windows 10 and Mac, here’s what the new version has brought to the table.
- Opera introduced the Pinboards feature some time ago.
The feature allows you to collect, organize and share links, which can be useful for shopping and travel. Until now, pinboards created were saved on Opera servers, now they are stored locally on your device.
“When you create a bulletin board, it is saved locally. So you want to share it with others, just click the share button and your bulletin board will be uploaded for sharing”’ Opera desktop team it says about local pinboards in the version 79 announcement post.
- In addition to recently downloaded files, you can now set the Opera browser easy files to show in the Downloads folder on your computer.
- The Opera browser comes with light, dark and system theme preferences. Browser already supports Windows 10 dark mode, now it matches Windows/Mac theme when you select system theme.
You can set this in Easy Setup. Click the icon at the far right of the address bar to open the Easy Setup panel and select the theme option.
The update comes with improvements rather than new features.
