Some days ago, opera 46 was released with support for animated PNG files (APNG) and this release has improved UI changes, fixed VPN issues, and improved stability. If you use Turbo mode in Opera browser on slower connections, you will notice that the button has been removed from the menu, FYI, the button Opera Turbo button has been moved to Advanced Settings.
This is definitely not a good move, the user has to dig into the settings and enable the advanced settings and then have to activate Turbo, not very intuitive. But the fact is, you’re used to it until and unless Opera reconsiders its decision.
Access or enable Opera Turbo on Opera 46+
- Click on the menu and select ‘Settings’
- Check ‘Show advanced settings’ in the sidebar
- Click on ‘Browser’ and scroll down to the bottom and check the ‘Enable Opera Turbo’ option under ‘Opera Turbo’.
Note: To exit Turbo mode, you need to disable the option enabled above.
Opera: Where is the advanced settings checkbox?
Tip: When you are in Turbo mode, a speedometer icon will appear in the address bar which, when you click on it, shows the ‘accelerated connection’ dialog.

To reach the setting easily, you’d better check this opera://settings/?search=turband access frequently.
