Translating messages in Gmail

Whenever you receive foreign language message on Gmail you don’t need to visit Google translator page to translate the message, instead you can simply enable the “Message Translation” labs feature in Gmail to let Gmail automatically detect and prompt for message translation.

Translate messages in Gmail

1. Click Settings, click the Labs tab

2. Activate message translation feature.

3.click on “Save changes”.

From now on, Gmail will automatically detect the language of the message and show the “translate message” link in the message header for translation if the message is not in the default language specified in Gmail settings.

Once you click the Translate message link, your message will be translated online without opening a new tab or new window.
